Global Words aps’ quality procedures begin even before the project has started. Drawing on our many years of experience, we have adopted a series of guidelines for the production of our translations, which we call ‘Good Translation Practice’. The Good Translation Practice guidelines contain specific requirements for the resources that are used in our projects and the processes that our suppliers and employees follow. The purpose of these requirements is to ensure a consistent level of quality over time and between languages.
We believe that quality must be both assured and controlled if the probability of achieving a high level of quality in translation is to be maximised. Quality assurance covers the things that we do before starting a project in order to provide the right foundations for a good quality product. Quality control covers the things that we do after receiving a translation from our suppliers to check that they are delivering the product that we ordered.
