Quality assurance			The first stage in our Good Translation Practice guidelines is to ensure that the foundations for the project support the process. In order to achieve the expected high level of quality in translations, the “ingredients” must be in order. These ingredients include: • _ an experienced project manager with an overview • _ the right translator with the right experience • _ a source document in a suitable format • _ sufficient time • _ IT equipment that supports optimum production It is also important that you as a customer tell us if you have any special requirements, e.g. in terms of the final layout, terminology or deadlines. As a general rule, we would like to have as long as possible to complete a translation, as a tight schedule can affect quality.
