During the period 1996-1997, he worked as a ‘stagiaire’ for the European Commission’s Translation Service and as an ‘auxiliaire’ in the European Parliament’s Translation Department in Luxembourg. In 1998, he joined Berlitz Translation Services as an EU translator, and after one year as a translator he was appointed Key Account Manager with responsibility for the company’s sales to the Danish market.
He then spent four years working in sales, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical, medico-technical and diagnostics industries and the special requirements that are associated with this industry. Peter’s most recent position was general manager of a Swedish company’s Danish office, which he built up from one to eight employees over a three-year period.
